What Happens During a CELBAN Help Centre Live Event?

Live learning gives participants an opportunity to explore a skill together rather than simply receive information about it.

The focus is on participation, exploration, questions, and reflection.

A session may begin with a CLB-informed skill-development activity and then move into discussion about what participants noticed, understood, or found difficult.

What Might Happen During a Session?

Participants may:

• work through a skill-development activity. ✅

• discuss possible responses. ✅

• examine why an answer works. ✅

• consider why another response may not work. ✅

• ask questions. ✅

• connect the skill to healthcare communication. ✅

• compare different ways of understanding information. ✅

• reflect on their own development. ✅

The purpose is not simply to provide the correct answer.

It is to help participants understand the ability behind the answer.

Is Live Learning the Same as a CELBANPrep University Course?

No.

CELBAN Help Centre live learning is different from enrollment in a CELBANPrep University course.

The Events are designed as CLB-informed opportunities for exploration, self-evaluation, discussion, and community learning.

They do not replace the structured learning, curriculum, or course access provided through CELBANPrep University.

Live learning is not the same as teacher-led course instruction.

Why Learn Together?

Some skills become clearer when we can hear how other people understand the same information.

A live session creates space to:

notice ➡️ question ➡️ discuss ➡️ understand ➡️ reflect

You may discover that another participant noticed something you missed.

You may also discover that something you thought was difficult becomes clearer when someone explains how they approached it.

Learning together does not mean everyone has the same answer.

It means there is an opportunity to examine how we arrived at our answers.

What Should I Expect?

• You do not need to arrive knowing the material.

• You may come with questions.

• You may come with uncertainty.

• You may come simply to see what a particular skill involves.

> The goal is not to perform for the group.

The goal is to explore, learn, and become more aware of your own developing abilities.
